Downtown Houston
There
are not any areas in Houston that are offer the excitment or
hold more promise than the Downtown area. Due to visionary
city planning and increased urban construction, there are
more residential opportunities available in Houston's
central business district than ever before. With the
fulfilled promise of parks and stadiums along with a
nightlife scene in full swing, residential development has
become quite popular. Even the industrially-dominated city’s
east side is getting on the residential bandwagon. There are
new town homes, penthouses, condominiums and historic condo
units for sale in the Downtown area. You can even buy a home
on top floor of the Four Seasons Hotel! You can expect to
pay $175 to $420 per foot for condos and lofts. Keep in mind
that “real” or traditional lofts are rare in Houston since
the term “loft” is translated differently by Houston
developers; however, it should always include large rooms
with very high ceilings.
Unit prices range from mid $100's to one million dollars and
more for penthouse residences with downtown skyline views.
And you can expect the Downtown excitement to continue to
drive prices skywards in surrounding neighborhoods in areas
such as Midtown and the Historic Sixth Ward.
